This season, the Sanibel Sea School will offer a series of educational boat excursions guided by the organization's executive director, Dr. Bruce Neill. The organization's pontoon boat, The Ripple Effect, provides comfortable seating, shade and a smooth ride for up to 12 adults.

Participants will learn about a different ocean-related topic during each three-hour program. Scheduled topics include plant dispersion, animal migration and living shorelines.

"The subjects we have chosen this year are all very relevant to us, as people who live in or love to visit this part of the world," Neill said. "We hope you will join us as we explore our island home."

The boat trips are scheduled for Nov. 21, Dec. 6 and Dec. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The cost is $75; space is limited. Scholarships are available upon request.
