Noah's Ark, the island thrift shop at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, will redecorate for Christmas and hold its second annual Christmas open house on Nov. 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The shop will sparkle with holiday items galore and cheer for customers.
Called Noah's Noel, the event will feature complimentary refreshments, including iced holiday cutter cookies with sprinkles, gingerbread men and candy cane cookies, plus a Christmas punch. Santa Claus will pose for pictures with Ark customers.

Shoppers will see twinkling lights from a forest of trees and ornaments from all over the world, including many with beach themes. Shelves will be lined with toys, Santas and other items to delight children and bring fond memories back to adults.
A special kitchen section will feature holiday cookbooks, cookie cutters and pans - anything Christmas related. Other items will include poinsettia-filled baskets, wreaths, greenery and garlands scattered throughout the store, providing a magical and old-fashioned Christmas theme. Christmas books and numerous gift ideas also will be available for grandchildren, family and friends.
The Ark offers - at bargain prices - women's and men's clothing, children's apparel, kitchen electronics and housewares, furniture and home furnishings, an assortment of lamps, on occasion a collection of quality art, and a varied selection of books in its "Barnes and Noah" book station.

In operation for over 50 years, the shop is run by the women of the church. Proceeds from the sales, coupled with monies from the parish's annual budget, go to over 25 local, regional and global charities.
