F.I.S.H. Workshop

F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva and NAMI for Lee, Hendry and Charlotte Counties Program Director Regina Britton will offer a presentation, "Understanding the Misunderstood - The Facts About Mental Illness," from 10 a.m. to noon at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. Family Storytime

Ethics Film Series

BIG ARTS will screen the film "Sicario" (2015) at 12:30 p.m. at the Island Cinema, at 535 Tarpon Bay Road, Sanibel. An idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico. Moderated by Ronald Michael Green, there will be a discussion following the screening about an ethical question posed by the film. Green is professor emeritus of religion and the eunice and Julian Cohen Professor Emeritus for the ethics and human values at Dartmouth College. Come play on the interactive floor as the MagixBox projects from the ceiling to the floor. Squish mosquitoes, splat eggs or make a trail of stars in some of the ever-changing activities. Experience Virtual Reality

Explore Google Tilt Brush from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Sanibel Public Library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel. It lets you paint in 3-D space with virtual reality; your room is your canvas, your palette is your imagination. Open to ages 13 and older. HTC Vive VR experience. Bagging for Mammograms

Pink Out Sanibel & Captiva volunteers will bag groceries for tips from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Bailey's General Store, at 2477 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. The proceeds will benefit uninsured individuals in need of mammograms and F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva to help with the community's cancer-related needs. The annual Pink Out Picnic Lunch will take place on Oct. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Sanibel Fire Station 171, at 2351 Palm Ridge Road, Sanibel.
