27th annual Saint Andrew Festival continues

The Saint Andrew Festival stepped off Thursday night and will continue through the weekend on the school's grounds.

An annual celebration, the local tradition and fundraiser features carnival rides, games, food trucks and live entertainment.

The festival continues today from 6 to 11 p.m. On Saturday, it will be open from noon to 11 p.m. and then from noon to 10 p.m. on the final day - Jan 14.

Admission and parking are free; rides, food and midway games require tickets. Ride bracelets are $75 each.

In addition, a silent auction will be held, with bidding to close Sunday at 6 p.m.

Prizes include weekend getaways, gift certificates to businesses and restaurants, and more, including more than 100 goodie baskets."

Also on Sunday, a $10,000 raffle drawing will take place at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $1 each for the raffle and you need not be present to win.

Organizers estimate that approximately 20,000 people attend over the weekend.

Saint Andrew Catholic School is at 2628 Del Prado Blvd. S. Parking is available at the church, Busey Bank, Fifth Third Bank and the Cape Coral Breeze.
