A vast array of arts and crafts will fill the Center 4 Life, as 40 vendors showcase their talent with both handmade items, and writing.

"It's a good event. People are here enjoying what talented people made last year," Chair Eileen Kehoe said. "The whole building is full of talented people."

The annual Arts & Crafts Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, complete with a hot dog lunch available for purchase. The fair will include such items as fabric art, pottery, woodwork, paintings, jewelry, glasswork, baskets, shell designs, cards and books by local authors.

Co-Chair Shirley Schulz said the fair always features a few new vendors, as well as others who have become some of the community's favorites.

Although the fair is a fundraiser, Kehoe said it also provides an opportunity to make the community aware of the Center 4 Life and what it offers for seniors.

"It's community awareness," she said.

As attendees browse the fair, Schulz said they will also have people on hand to answer any questions they may have concerning the Senior Center.

She encourages those who attend the event to take their time, look around, and talk to the vendors about their craft.

"Vendors enjoy coming here for the event every year," Schulz said, adding that the fair offers a nice atmosphere.

To accommodate some of the parking restraints at the Center 4 Life, shuttle service is offered throughout the fair to and from City Hall.

The Center for Life is located at 2401 Library Way. For more information, call (239) 472-5743.
